Sunday's Reflection: "Anger and unforgiveness are traveling companions."---Charles Stanley

Are you bitter? I know I can be, we all can be at times. Sometimes I get stuck in a rut with a spirit of unforgiveness. I can be so upset with someone the thought of praying for them makes me laugh. There are times I like to hold on to my anger, resentment, and bitterness towards another person who hurt me. But in the end, I end up up hurting myself, placing myself into a "Self Imposed Prison."

Here is a great excerpt from Jumping Jeff Clay's blog,"Listen, “forgiveness is not about feelings, it is about faith”! Faith in God and His Holy Word! It is trusting that our Creator knows how to heal His creation. Trust Him in this by speaking forgiveness towards that person and you will be set free. The Bible promises, “to whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.”  Experience God’s promise of “peace and release” from that Self Imposed Prison by taking this “leap of faith!”---- This couldn't be more true. You can read the entire article, just click on this link: http://www.jumpingjeffclay.com/index.php/archives/252

So powerful and amazing His Love is for us, when we are obedient and follow Him by Faith!!!!

Traumatized FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

I would consider myself a lover of all things outdoors, insects, spiders, butterflies, grasshoppers etc.
 all...............................................................at a distance.
I usually try to act as if I love them more than I really do in order to be a good role model for my children. Though, deep down they make my skin crawl, they are gross looking, and literally I have this 20 foot bubble I like to be in, I don't bother them and they don't bother me.

Until that all came crashing down today.

Today was like any other day. I went outside barefoot, (if you know me I don't like to wear shoes unless I have to). I picked up our umbrella to clean it and out ran a baby lizard, it scared me, I screamed and lifted up my foot. Well timing would have it that when I put my foot down, I stepped on it.

Yes did you read that correctly, I stepped on the baby lizard and guts squeezed out everywhere!!!
I ran into the house screaming like a mad woman, probably waking up all our neighbors as it was 7:30 on a Saturday morning. Hopping on one leg, dry heaving, and waving my hands wildly, I jumped up onto the counter washed my feet, and let the water run for 5 min with my head down trying to regain my composure. Meanwhile, my kids are starring at me wondering if I am alright, hubby was laughing and went outside to check it out, and he was out there for a while doing this....

Yes, he outlined it in chalk , just in-case I forgot it DIED!!!!!

Then we showed Gregory and he reenacted it, just in case I forgot it DIED!!!

We all mourned......

AND MY HUBBY WAS OH SO KIND AS TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T FORGET THAT I KILLED THE LIZARD.

Not to mention 10 min after this i picked up one of my pots and threw it when I realized I was starring at a grasshoper, I broke its wings.....................

Welcome!

When I started this blog I thought about my real purpose in doing so. And I thought and I thought and I thought about it for awhile. I wanted it to have depth, reaching others on many levels, I want to share ideas, learn new things, laugh, cry and have a place where I can share my heart.

Well since I am new to this blogging thing I realized I never told you who I am. SOooo let me back up. In fact, lets start over...My name is Erica I am 26 years old. I am currently married to not only a wonderful man but a long time friend. We were really good friends in high school, in fact all my friends used to tease me saying that of any guy in school they could see me marrying Adam because we are so much alike. Thats funny cause back then I used to like him and never told him, well maybe thats cause he dated my best friend...... that still makes me laugh.  Even though we were so close then, we ended up falling out of touch over the years. Then one day I just happened to find him on Myspace. Oh, good ole' Myspace, and the rest is history....We got married Dec 07 and three years later we have
two amazing wonderful children who bless us and fuel our purpose in this world everyday.

                                  LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.

Are you my daddy?

Soooo I will keep this one short and sweet....

Gregory made me laugh so hard this morning as we were all sitting and eating breakfast.
He leaned over, pointed to the Tapatio bottle and said,
"Daddy!"

 Good times!

Potty training has "officially" started...

Please don't run for the hills just yet!!!!!

There are so many different styles of potty training, I have been taking ideas from all types of methods and coming up with my own plan. Which is, see how Gregory does with my ideas and basically roll with the punches. No time frames, no deadlines, just me, Gregory and the potty. I'm going to try a little bit of everything and see what works. I will keep you posted on our progress.
